Mauricio Lopez serves in an executive leadership role for this premiere entertainment and education consulting firm designed to instill the lifelong value of heart health into all generations by providing cutting-edge innovative products and services, including customized animation, apps, community outreach education and materials in the schools--featuring the Cardioville property. With over 20 years of experience from positions with Cyrex Laboratories, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Disney Online, Disney Interactive, The Prentice School and the American Heart Association in marketing, communications and business development, Mauricio brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to guide Cardioville’s multi-talented team of creative and innovative experts. He received his BA in Film and Electronic Media Arts from Cal State University, Long Beach and earned his MBA from Azusa Pacific University, and studied Organizational Behavior and the Future at Oxford University in England.

Dr. Bruce Clark has emerged as one of America’s foremost visionaries and authorities on the business and marketing implications of our multigenerational marketplace. He co-founded Age Wave & IPG., two firms that have profoundly changed the way America thinks about aging and demographics. His groundbreaking business initiatives in healthcare, media, financial services and retail have significantly defined this emerging market niche. Among Dr. Clark’s most prominent accomplishments has been production of the 20-part PBS series Caring for an Aging Society, which won Business TV Magazine’s award for the “Most Important Social Contribution Made Through Business Television.” Previous to founding Age Wave/IPG, Dr. Clark held senior management positions with National Institutes of Health, the California Department of Health Services and the National Center for Health Education. He holds a Masters and Doctorate in Public Health from Loma Linda University.

melissa arias

Melissa Arias is a third grade teacher in the Lennox School District. She began teaching 12 years ago after graduating from UCLA twice – once with a BA in Linguistics and later with a Master’s in Education. As a teacher, Melissa developed a keen interest in creating curricula. This lead to a second career as a Curriculum Specialist for textbook publishing companies where she provides consultation, writes training curricula, and conducts professional development for educators.

leslie young, md

Leslie Young, MD is a busy pediatrician who trained at the UCLA Medical Center. He is the author of The Everything Parents’ Guide to Childhood Illnesses. He is currently working at Kaiser Permanente in Southern California. Dr. Young is a graduate of UCLA and UC Irvine Medical School. He lives in Long Beach with his wife and son.
